what about oil pressure, is there a chance the relief valve is stuck and it's pumping up the lifters. just a thought.

Might be that the thermostate has been removed because the rad is blocked, my 3.9 temp gauge never moved after replacing the rad, even towing 2 ton + up Holden hill (Exeter).

hi dust seal just fits into a grove, a bit like a circlip, but the grove is hidden by the piston, one of mine has been gone for a while now,it sticks a bit, can't be bothered to strip them so i treated the rangie to a brand new pair of calipers just got to fit them now

I changed my leads as i sprayed them with GT85 while the engine was running checking for air leaks and the spray caught fire, then i knew then the leads were fooked :D Single point then :suspicious:

Is it single or multi point lpg, i got a feeling it's single, mine used to do it when the tank was nearly empty, low pressure in the system and too much throttle, another is plug leads shorting from one to another and causing a plug to fire twice, happened to my 3.9 disco, changed leads no more...

I have replaced my p38 exhaust with a Janspeed cat back system as others say not loud, can hardly hear inside with the windows closed, but in a tunnel and the windows down :D Insurance company loaded me by £23 for the privalage though. I think if you have cats fitted ;) you need back pressure...

casdive look at there site again and read it, the price they are quoting is per disc £67.93, total is £135.86.

I had this problem with mine, if you get someone to turn the ign key and while they are doing that you pull, push and generaly move the wireing loom around at the back of the engine, also move the crank position wire around, this is how i got mine to run. If this works, it will be the cable...

Check the fuel lift pump, don't know if the td5 has a mechanical pump or not, but if the diaphram goes fuel will leak into the engine, may also be worth checking the return fuel pipe is not blocked, as i have known this to push out the front seal on the injector pump if blocked, this happened on...

It could be ATF, i have seen this before in a clear form, can't remember who made it, but it was deff ATF/power steering fluid and it was clear (ish).
