    Warning sign?

Thanks, but yes a little bit to far at just over 100 miles each way. But thank you anyway (too uncomfortable to drive that far also, sat pretty much on the floor and everything - must get a cushion!)

    Warning sign?

Thanks, I may well get back to you in I can't find a drivers side one.

    Warning sign?

There I was, sat in my 1997 v8 Disco 1, merrily munching away on a double sausage and egg McMuffin meal, when I (and I'm maybe two stone or so overweight!) had a strange sort of vibrating palpitation combined with some strange pinging/snapping sounds and a sudden sensation of falling. My first...

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Yea, all sorted - sort off. After about 1001 attempts I managed to get it started by using the eka, took may attempts but my damn code also includes a number of 9's -grrr. Now it is fully usable, just so long as I don't lock it, in which case I have to enter the eka again, but who is going to...

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Thanks all, being a bit of muppet I forgot to use the immobiliser fob as well (not Land Rover) and presumed the key symbol was because of an incorrect key, so perhaps it will start - will try when I get home.

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

The door key will fit the ignition but not start it, just get the key symbol on the dash. Not sure what it was I disconnected (followed LR dealers suggestion) but the alarm doesn't sound and the indicators don't flash - good enough for me! So I'm happy to leave that as it is and not bothered...

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Thanks all, so far have a key to get me in the car, from Land Rover dealer cost £6, disconnected the alarm from inside the bonnet (easy clip), and got RAC to take it back. Immobiliser is not a problem as it's not a Land Rover one and nothing to do with remote fob, and I have a spare. Just need...

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Yea, the key will only get into the car not start it so I'm a long ways of resolving the problem (hoping, ney praying, the keys will turn up). The immobiliser is one of the aftermarket jobbies (place fob on dash to de-activate), I do still have the master for that though, which is summit I suppose.

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Thanks, great advice but have managed to get a key cut (found vin number) to get into the car, so can get it home now at least. Still need help though on how to disable the alarm if anyone has any ideas (I don't suppose it's as easy as disconnecting the battery is it?)

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

Thanks, thought of that but then the alarm will be going off and I have no way to shut it up, any suggestions though greatly appriciated.

    Lost keys/fob discovery 1

My darling wife (stupid bovine) has lost my only set of keys and fob for my 1997 V8 Disco 1. I need to move the thing as it's been sat on a public road for the past 5 days (in the rain with the obligatory leaking sunroof - great!). I have searched the forum but can't find a conclusive answer...

I had exactly the same, not Sunroof but as previouse mentioned headling ie windscreen leaking - feel on the inside roof above the windscreen, bet it's wet.
