Hi daz , I have leak off washers and injector washers if you need some mate. I just changed all mine and got a pack of 20 :-)

You don't need to take the tank out just don't go wild with a grinder :-) buy a spot weld drill bit and take your time taking it all out as it will make it a lot easyer putting the new floor in. You don't have to weld the main floor area back in, pop rivets and mastics will do a better job.

Plus when the boot floor is up you can clean up and treat the chassis from the top. I have a tin of por15 to paint it with after its all down plus don't forget to clean up the under side of the floor after welding your new floor in or it will rust and be holy again in no time

Dose anyone know of a good body shop that can under seal a discovery ? As in doing it the way it should be done and not just spraying the full underside will 4 gallons of wax oil . Thanks folks

Ok so only had the disco 2 weeks and already been sorting a few bit. The last guy had put a new boot floor in but he never painted his welds!!! what a co@k :rolleyes: so got some por15 paint (por15.com) top paint but its not cheep. he had also fixed the sills but i want to cut them out and...

Going to give mine a clean up today and hopefully get the underside painted soon .

Ps Don't run you engine till you get this sorted , when your loosing power the engine so hot that it can not operate, Big bill time if you keep doing that.

Hydrocarbons in you coolant would show that your getting exhaust gas in to the cooling system, It's the best way of showing you if your head gasket is gone.

One or two were close to snapping on mine also, That p gasket is just a daft idea

Just be careful not to get the engine in the red that much mate you could damage the head. Are you using water? Do you have hot air in your cab? Also test your coolant for hydrocarbons

Well just fitted a new genuine water pump and new metal p gasket in -2 temperature outside, :o I would not recommend this as i think in have lost the feeling in my fingers!, but on the plus side the the water now stays where it should. Happy days.
