The spare is narrower than the ones on the vehicle so not really an option. I take it though from your suggestion a pair of new tyres on the rear axle will be ok with the existing pair left on the front axle? I wasn't sure if that could screw things up.

I've worked out that my 300 TDi is giving me 21 mpg on average. To try and improve on this I am about to blank off the EGR, clean out the intercooler and fit a decat pipe. My question is, is there anything else I should be doing to the vehicle to help improve MPG?
