lol they sure are , never in a million years did i think they would be that bad the noise did not justify the mess the uj was in. im glad i changed it and didnt leave it any longer:D

thats very interesting i have been nut welding with galvanized parts in work for the past month and had flu like symptoms .... wonder if its connected or just a coincidence ? though i do seem to get every cold going :rolleyes:

Thanks for all the replies guys:) , changed the ujs and all noises have gone :cool: The cups on the ujs were fooked :rolleyes: ill take pics of them tomorrow and post them up also there was a lot of oil on most of the underside of the car so cleaned it with gunk .now the leak seems to be worse...

yeah true its nice and sunny here at the moment so been out and had a look at it again befo oil coming from the hole on the flywheel housing :doh: so looks like i have a few problems to sort out.

life is hectic at the min just beem out caching my lasses pony that escaped from the field. always got somthing going on usually im going to scotland every weekend to see my son so dont have much time on the weekend but think i could change the ujs after work one night through the week weather...

glad i wasnt on that bus sounds nasty ,getting it fixed asap thats the last thing i need lol

yeah just got a link from google to difflock and they have a good how to on doing it looks straight forward and i would be able to do it after work on night through the week .........unless someone knows where to get the ujs on a sunday morning lol ?

thanks for the info will replace the uj asap i dont know if the oil is coming from the hole or somewhere else so going to clean the housing up with some gunk and hopefully see where it is coming from. do you have any idea how much a garage would charge to do the uj as other than this weekend i...

one of the ujs on the on the front propshaft is worn its got lots of movement also noticed that the drain plug on the flywheel housing was missin, been told that you dont need it unless you are doing a lot of off roading but there is some oil on the housing is this anything to worry about...

right small update on this . i didnt get round to changing the oil or having a look at it but had to go to the shop . i noticed that driving at 40/50 mph a change in the chamber of the road would result in a noise that sounds like the tyres were rubbing on the arch liner(you know what im talking...
