Well I've tried a new spring, no luck, its a problem with the backrest mechanism. Will try again tomorrow.

I've had the base cover off and found it full of kids crayons, pens, sweet wrappers. It looks like the spring is a bit stretched, hindering the lock down mechanism. Going to get one later and try to sort it again.

I dropped the rear double seat down for a trip to the tip and the base wont lock down allowing the backrest to lock in. I've had the disco for 2 months and this is the first time i've had the seat folded foreward. I've taken the seat side cover off and can see that the spring is a bit stretched...

I dont know the sizes, but I've dealt with Stagonset Stainless Nuts and Bolts, Screws and Fasteners who are stainless steel nuts and bolt suppliers and they are cheaper than a fiver. They are worth a look for anyone needing fastners. Paul
