I agree with the qt diff guards had them on my classic they bolt on the top of diff then rap round and bolt to bottom, better than the ones that just clamp on
Your better off with diff guards and steering guards I've been off roading for years and never had a snorkel and the side steps will give a little protection to the body from trees they won't last long but if their welded on don't bother removing them till you have to then replace with proper...
They are seperate units transfer box runs off shaft from rear of gearbox . The gearbox ( if it's an auto ) doesn't drain fully due to torque converter , but you can drain and refill transfer box without affecting main gearbox .
Autos are fine offroad and more relaxing to drive , less worry about stalling on hills so failed hill starts not a worry low box first gear for hill descents ( not drive ) and you can use an auto box like a manual if you so wish .
I go laning with a mate who uses a freelander and as said ground clearance was his only real problem , he removed back box which helped ! There is also a kit available for raising the suspension a little also do you not have to pay back vat to custom and excise if you convert a commercial

If applying lipstick is the main reason for buying a Landrover I would suggest a rangerover one gets a vanity mirror with a light and air suspnesion which gives an exceptional smooth ride providing the butler takes it easy !
