I'm not sure about this so someone will probably put me right but try swopping out stations from one side to other , I think it's the out stations that tell the locks to unlock so if the one in the passenger door ain't working it won't tell the door to unlock ( if you know what I mean )

Fitted mine through grille ran an earth wire to body and passed lead up inside wing and through passenger door by hinge ' cb mounted on the side of tunnel using existing screws coaxle runs under seat to cb .
