When you select the low range you should hear a small wooshing sound as the box is selected. You can select low range whilst in gear but not above 35mph - a move not recommended unless you are fully aware of what happens when you do!

Get to the rear of the hevac by removing the radio. You may be able to get to the small bulb in the middle of the hevac panel if you have small fingers. It twists and comes out. It will be a small green bulb - cost about £2 from land rover. If you cant get at it then you need to go the long way...

There is one on eBay - 310345475510. This would still require work to the sump but is the correct exhaust manifold, egr etc for your year of car. Labour would be about 2 days to do the job properly.

neither of those engines will fit a 2002 2.5dhse unless you fancy doing a lot of alterations such as egr, loom, exhaust manifold, sump etc etc - basically rebuild from block up!

White multiplug is for the sub amp on the side of the woofer. Square Black multiplug is for the cd changer - again this should be an Alpine 6 disc unit. The sub could either be a Harmon kardon or substitute. I have had a few thor cars around this age, same spec but have varied with the sub.

a 1999 should have an Alpine unit in them.

You need a toilet seat fitted between the maff and the plenum chamber. This will stop the lpg building up in the airbox and causing the thing to go bang! So many systems dont have these fitted and as a result we sell loads of airboxes!! :)

4 screws at the top, 2 half way down grill then wiggle out from headlights.
