Probably needs the Rad flushing out as these can block over time or ideally a new rad also check the viscous fan out and make sure the front of the rad's isn't blocked with crap i would get checking before any damage IE warped head occurs

No such thing as a cheap RR it will cost you in the long run! the miles on that are quite high

probably wants re gassing how cold are the pipes next to the compressor mine get that cold condensation forms also the front fans shift so little air compared with the viscous i doubt it will make a drastic difference

Personally i would make sure you use a hoist as the engine is not that easy to lift and disconnect from the gearbox at the same time although i did do my engine with out taking the rads out so i needed to be careful!! also when reinstalling i doubt you you will be able to reconnect to the bell...

I wouldn't bother rebuilding just buy a coscast short engine of ebay job done as all the machine work will really add up in £
