Hi guys anybody know if p38 turbochargers are all the same , i have one leaky one on the vehicle and a spare one i bought, i was thinking if they are the same i would send the spare off for a rebuild and leave the one on the vehicle till the spare is back, cheers guys any help appreciated.

Oh forgot to add smoke is white / blue and smells of hot oil.

Hi guys, help ,any ideas on why my rr is smoking after hard acceleration, it is running fine normally no smoke, no missfire, no cooling probs, my first thought was rings but no smoke at low med revs could it be turbo or egr problem any help greatfully recieved cheers.

88 inch series 2 or 2a , the fixings for the axle check straps are different on ser 3 and yes all series had the steering relay in the front x member except maybe the forward controls not sure about them, rear x member is wrong for series 1.

if it's a 2a then the h/lamps will be in the wings and the grille/ radiator panel will have no headlamp bowls and a full metal mesh grille.

If i remember correctly lights moved into the wings in 1968 with the series 2a model this then became the norm for the later series 3.

Definately a mot failure if left like that but not beyond repair, get it plated back to good metal but remove the wiring loom first.

Just a thought but when you have your clutch plate back out try it on the gearbox shaft just in case you've been supplied with the wrong one, do this if only to eliminate one possible cockup !!!

Yep this happened on my td4 , one injector rose out of the head by about 10mm, clamp bolts had snapped and the clamp was in half, can't say what caused it though don't know if the clamp snapped first and put pressure on the bolts or what but i replaced all the bolts while i was at it as they...

Hi, if your looking for invisible repairs i suppose letting plates in flush is the way to go although i don't think this is the strongest repair, for strength i would go for full height plates as you said, you can then take advantage of welding to the thicker weld already on the corners of the...

Hi what does it sound like when cranking? could it be you have 2 duff starters or worst case scenario have you checked to see if your valve gear is moving! hope it's just electrical.
