finished adjusting the accelerator, its WAY better, my driving seems better, gear changes are smoother and the throttle control is amazing compared to before.

mine is a leaking seal on the diff input, new window tracks, fix the throttle play and some new tires doing the throttle now as I have access to parts :)

ah time for my next job then :) im basically looking for things to fix now as not everything is immediately obvious :D she's looking very tidy

my foot goes down about 1 1/2 inches before the it engages. how much is normal and is it supposed to be like this? :D

shoes are dry, not oily and are adjusted as the manual suggests

just checked the return spring, it was a thin stretched one, checked on my parts vehicle and the spring was much thicker, stronger and not stretched, so I replaced that. but it still seems to be rubbing slightly when released. not binding like before but still rubbing. might have a look inside...

I would look at the ignition switch, that's what controls the starter and I don't see it working unless that switch is on. sounds like the switch is sticking or something shouldn't be a major to replace or fix. good luck, I just finished replacing an entire instrument panel

lol I would have just sorted the handbrake. but thats one way to stop it rolling away. I imagine hill starts would be a bitch though

fit on a series landy? there is a couple of defender top hinges with those nice mirrors on them, would be great if I can just switch the hinges and use those mirrors (the standard mirrors are like looking down a dirty telescope)

work on a standard series 3 gearbox? reason im asking is I need a new bearing and I can get an LT77 one for $30 A series 3 one will cost me $70! ouch

Im driving a 109 with 7.50 x 16 tires and its pretty hard to turn the wheel around when its not moving, once the vehicle is moving even slightly its easy though but sitting on a flat surface not moving, and trying to turn it lock to lock is LOT of work

I need to remove the main input shaft on the gearbox? Im guessing its right up there with doing a full gearbox rebuild? any tips for the easiest way to remove it and refit it? Cheers

I would say so, we have an old series 2 parts vehicle with 650 x 16's on it and a smaller steering wheel and trust me it takes some hard cranking to get it to steer my series 3 with bigger tires is actually a LOT easier to turn, because it has the standard steering wheel
