yea sounds like a gearbox issue to me.

mine will do 55mph on a flat without any wind. but anything over that and she is revving too high for my liking, need an overdrive or something :doh:

but there are diffs all around :doh: so if one front wheel has no traction, and the other does then surely you could get both back and one front spinning? if one of the halfshafts are gone, then the diff won't have power on either side. so therefore neither wheel on that axle will spin if 3...

you will get no power to the front wheels unless they are both in 4x4 mode only time you could possibly want them is if you are driving on the road in high range, but even then they are not really necessary

good news, I tested the speedo unit itself, no luck was dead as a christmas goose. stripped it and part of the mechanism was binding, cleared that up and its perfect now. the cable needed to be replaced as it was also causing a problem, checked it against a GPS and its bang on, it...

I agree, driving a series can be more fun than driving a fast car :D its very basic, I enjoy driving mine even at 50kph

my speedo has packed up, originally thought it was the cable (bought a new one) but its still not going. anyway I know a guy who is wrecking a 2a :eek: and was wondering there is any difference? they are both lwb so that shouldn't make a difference.
