I actually just tinted the back windows, and I am very happy with it. (got sick of nosy feckers peering in at my gear. :mad: the tints make it feel nicer inside I didn't do any of the front ones though.

I doubt that this is the problem. we are having a minimum of +17 degrees at the moment and thats at night. also the tapping is only for about 2 seconds after the engine starts. during normal driving the engine sounds perfect.

out of 5 places I don't think a single one knew what gl4 was. let alone had ever heard of it. and I checked all the petrol stations too. :eek: this country is overrun with japanese cars. a few european ones but most are bmw's

yet every single garage I have been to has only got GL5 in stock. I hear this stuff is bad for yellow metals. also out of 5 garages, they have all insisted that having 15w40 in the gearbox is fine, and probably better for the syncromeshes :eek: one of these places is a very reputable place...

actually im not driving it lol anymore and im getting oil tomorrow when the shops open. :D the engine runs smoothly, and I only found out about the oil pressure problem AFTER i had driven it for a while.

it only taps if its been sitting for about 10 hours plus if I drive it, and then leave it for 6 hours and start it again, its fine. the oil it currently has in it is an unknown age, very dirty and is 15w40 the low oil pressure at idle is only after at least 30 minutes of driving at...

mine drips a bit, needs the oil checked at least every month or so, is noisy and a little bit temperamental, the brakes are decent as I have twin leading shoes on 11" drums as for speed I got it up to 65mph without an overdrive, but that was on a LONG straight bit with a slight downward...

it might just look low because I am tall (im 6'2") so the camera is pointing downwards. it certainly doesn't look low in the rear when I see it on a flat surface. oh and its not on a flat surface in that picture either.

I got one as a daily driver, it costs a bit to maintain but (touch wood) so far has not let me down. I reckon it gets between 17 and 20mpg, depending on how you drive it.
