    wobble over speed ramps

Yeah I was going to give them a try but to be honest I think I’ll be just changing them straight away including springs, they look old and I don’t know what hammer they have had and I’ll be doing it up as a bit of a expedition type vehicle.

    wobble over speed ramps

Sorry for digging up a old thread but I’d prefer to do that then start a new. I have the same issue and it’s really bad, originally when I bought the vehicle it had modular wheels and chunky tyres and wobbled all the time I went over around 30mph I sorted that by putting original wheels and...

    Injectiom Pump Rebuild/Reseal

Guys I’ve took my injection pump off because it was leaking what looked like to be the rear of the pump, once I’ve got it off it seems to be below the springy thingy (if that’s the correct technical term). Has anyone rebuilt/resealed one of these or know of a workshop manual ? I’ve found a seal...

The gauge fitted is a PRC3105 gauge but for now I’ll try a digital just for piece of mind. This thermostat was the most expensive I’ve ever bought at about

I’ll have a look at those now... my name is might have a digi one for me from his kit cars. The turbo is below the manifold, which I was led to believe those was defender engines. The engine code is 12L

Cheers Phil I’ll give it a go buddy and see what happens... I also could do with working out what engine it is wether it’s defender or discovery too

Done the kettle trick and it’s opening and closing ok.. guess I’m best with a digital gauge for now, what should the reading be ? Once it comes I’ll pop the stat back in and see if it makes a difference

Not air locked, and rad doesn’t seem blocked I don’t think as it gets warm without the thermostat in place unless that’s because it’s going via the bypass. This is the stat in the picture the sender and gauge are just standard although the gauge on the dash could be a v8 has its been converted...

Completed... thankfully I managed getting time off today to get the Land Rover built back up... she’s running sweet as a nut other than if sat idling the gauge creeps up to just above half and the thermostat isn’t doing it’s job.. it seems to be stopping water passing through causing the...

Glow plug wiring for 200tdi conversion

Very informative thank you, I will go for that and it will definitely be fused... it’s an old v8 and they have just not bothered adding it although the glow plug harness is on plugs lol so I’ll get a glow plug relay and start from scratch including having a light in my raptor dash when it comes...

Glow plug wiring for 200tdi conversion

Right guys sorry for digging a old thread up but it saves a new one if I can get the answers I want... according to this relay what size wire would you recommend for each plug? I’m starting from scratch as the old v8 I have had a engine conversion in 2011 and it appears they have completely not...

Well I'm tempted to remove the full heating system and pop it under engine bay where the current heater system is. Going for one of those diesel burning one, yeah fair enough its something else using diesel but they only use a egg cup for a good few hours and it can be left on all night if you...

Eberspacher, apparently on the self build camper page on Facebook they recommend some of the cheaper Chinese types but I wouldn’t want to risk them!

Damn land rovers don’t you hate them!

Thought that would be the case flat, I’ll just join the two and keep the thermostat in place, or at least that’s what I’ll do once my new diesel heater arrives and the headgasket is sorted!

Damn land rovers don’t you hate them!

Too add on to this thread rather than start a new one I’m just looking for a bit of advise. I’ve started the strip down and so far so good although I have a couple of questions regarding the injectors and coolant/heater system. Here are the four injectors removed I’m a little bit concerned of...
