Guys I’ve took my injection pump off because it was leaking what looked like to be the rear of the pump, once I’ve got it off it seems to be below the springy thingy (if that’s the correct technical term).

Has anyone rebuilt/resealed one of these or know of a workshop manual ? I’ve found a seal kit online for £20 and comes with instructions so I suppose that would help.

The problem is I’m a tight Yorkshireman and I’ve had quotes to rebuild it between £200 - £504 plus vat, one company said they could do a accurate quote by paying £15 plus vat for a strip down and see what’s wrong but another bloke said they don’t ware much so it’s basically strip it clean it and put it back together and replace something if it was worn and obviously it would have new seals so my thought is just reselling it myself.

What’s your thoughts ? I can get another local for £50 to pop on the car while I sort this and honestly I don’t have the money for the recon at the minute if I was to get it done.

Not a difficult job to do , bits for the seal and bush in the kit and it costs about £15.

Make sure it is clean before you start. I did mine in situ on the 90.
Unfortunately search is not working as there was a good link added to my post that would have helped if I had seen it.

But as said not difficult, clean it and watch how everything comes apart. reverse etc, be careful putting the new bush in and use a little thread lock on the bush.

Cheers

be careful the shaft if original will have a line scribed across it mark the throttle lever so you can put it back same place or you risk over revving. As you lift the top push the throttle shaft down to leave in situ until you can see how to unhook it. It is much easier if you also take out the full load fuel screw before removing top and put it back when top is back on. if you not
