    What happens if you rev it when sat still? does it miss fire? cut out? or not rev? reving without blipping the throttle, just steadilly increasing of revs..

    Just a query really. On my 88" 1971, I have upgraded my brakes to dual circuit, servo assisted, with 11" 109 front drums etc. Being from a 109" they have 2 cylinders per wheel on the front.     ok, its not cheap, but a small tin goes along way, and like most things, you get what you pay for. You will only do it the once, if you use "a n other" brand it could be something you have to do annually. Depends how often you want to get under it and paint it..:D

    bullet connectors in the back, they rust, pull them apart and check.. local earths, fuses. switch, (as mentioned) maybe take the two wires off the switch and link together, see if the lights work, that should prove the switch.

    I posted an ad on here and the wanted section, In need of a lower dash for my series 3. I have had no feed back and still want one. Just browsy the interweb I was directed to L.R series, part number MTC2826. It says its the same lower dash as defender, but I guess the early ones with VIN...
