i've sorted it now, well my dad did. it was one of the terminals shorting out on the bodywork because i had not insolated it cheers for all the advise

there's power getting to the fan because it i'll run for a few second's and then blow the fuse, i'm going to remove the resistor and check all the wire this morning and see if that work's.

if i was to use a ignition feed to the switch what colour wire would i use from the ignition

so what size fuse will i need for the kenlowe fan also what size fuse would i need for four spot lights across the roof

does it make any difference that i went from switch to thermo to relay because thats what it said on the diagram

what size fuse then, so if i remove the resistor i don't realy need a diode

it's 30amp fuse and i fitted it in the supply to the switch and come of that with a piggy back connector to the relay

i was told a resistor was the same as a diode, if i remove the resistor will it solve the blowing fuses. i a no electician

i used a 30amp fuse and a resistor insead of a diode

i'll check the relay tomorrow as it's to dark to see anything now cheers

just finished wiring my kenlowe in following the mad hat man diagram, flicked the switch and it keeps blowning the fuses. check all the connections and all fine but why does it keep blowning. please help

i've been running my 110 300tdi without any fan on for the past 10months without any problems but i've decided to fit a kenlowe now because i tow a trailer and with the summer coming i decided to fit a 16inche fan which i was told was big enough

on your diagram where it say's kenlowe switch do you mean the kenlowe thermostat controller

does the feed to the switch have to be a ignition feed or can both 12volt supplies come direct from the battery. also where does the kenlowe thermostat go in your diragram. if it is a ignition feed what colour wire is it. thanks for your help mate

got my self a kenlowe fan of ebay cheap. but the wiring diagram it came with (genuine kenlowe) dosen't tell you how to wire a switch in. so was wondering if any one has a simple wiring diagram for the fan which includes a switch. i have done a search but nothing came up. i was going to have a go...
