since servicing my disco ive kept an eye on oil level each day, not once have i got a full/fixed reading on the max, it sometimes looks like its nearly at the minimum. ive put in about 6.5/.7 litres heres an example how it shows, was 40 mins after using it, i do check it before runing...

spoke to previous owner, he said he changed the cylinder, doesnt think he done it right, might need bled again? another option to try

another question......... since i serviced my old smokey disco few days ago, its been more difficult to start, it used to fire up straight away then run lump/smokey on 3 or maybe even 2 lol,now it takes two attempts should i need to bleed the system? once its started and warmed up its fine...

anyone here from scotland able to do a compression test on my disco? am 10 miles south of edinburgh, able to come to you no problem. before i start putting money into other things i need to know whats the problem with engine. cheers

ok will head to halfrauds today how many litres does the gear box hold, where the level check on these? i need to order haynes manual, everytime am about to, something else needs £ spent on it

i havnt changed the oil yet, sometimes its ok and sometimes its not, can be a pain to get out of gear sometimes. am now thinking its the thrust baring, am sure can hear it sometimes any members in scotland able to take this for a spin and give me thoughts on this, i am in dalkeith about 10...

i have a 93 disco 200 tdi, will the tank sender from later models fit? td5 etc?

Have a problem when changing gear sometimes. Some times the disco goes into gear no problem, other times it takes abit of effort and you can feel the change aswell as hear it, sometimes it can also take a couple attempts putting clutch pedal to floor to get in gear. Most problems are...

the pipe seems to run from rear axle/diff? then is loose near sedimentor... i lifted the boot carpet and the inspection plate.. the two metal pipes that run from the top of sender look to be sealed with silicon and damp around, ill attach a picture to give you a better idea. ill also add...
