    Waving

I picked all purely because its not the model that decides whether I wave or not. Its dependent on what they look like ie if theyre wearing s auit and driving a shiny rangie I won't bother, if theyre drivinf a fender and towing a sheep trailer its 50/50 whether I know em anyway... Most of all...

land rovers A load of Crap

Had a Jeep cherokee before...Loved it to bits. Broke down at every opportunity with parts costing far more than equivalent landy parts - if you could even get them. Simple jobs took ages due to bad design. Build quality was so so but the design.... when converted to a right hand drive Jeep...

    The Moon - WTF?

hmmmm remeber reading an email bout the moon being closer than normal but snopes sorted out my questions. I believe when I got it, it was for sometime last October. as for up from 11am till past midnight. I Guess its possible but Im no astronomer... Course it possible you saw it at the end of...

Lift kit... would it help here?

Why would you just assume the op was driving somewhere illegally? Any picture, whether it be a rutted muddy trail or a wide grassy track could be taken out of context and used as 'proof' of irresponsible behaviour. Personally I wouldn't have driven that section but as the rest of the lane seems...

    tool box setup

I can believe it, picked up a straight and a bent pair at the market for pence thinking theyd come in useful for summit...first job was removing the filter from inside a chainsaw fuel tank, then replacing it and since then they've never been far away.

    tool box setup

bloody torque wrenches :frown: on a completely unrelated note... learn how your lovely new tools work and use the right one for the job. :D A tip I was given years ago is buy a cheaper set to start off with to give you the best selection for your money and then if/when you buy a single...

    Rocker cover

because the bolts are torqued to 9Nm.... to avoid over tightening to the point where it fails ? Thats the theory anyway apparently Id have been better doing it by hand this time

    Rocker cover

Due to a stupid mistake with my new torque wrench, I am now in need of a replacement rocker cover... If anyone happens to have one for sale in Kent for a 2.5 n/a diesel I would be very grateful to hear from you. Thought Id stop the oil leak by changing the gasket, and when reassembling didnt...

Sounds pretty rough. Thoughts are with his family, friends and the rest of the club. Glad to see they're covered by MSA and I hope it doesn't go on to hurt more people.

    gwent 4x4 amongst other names

Might be worth a tip off to the local coppers. If it don't look or feel right it often isn't. With all the name changes I'm gonna be avoiding any business based in Chepstow. I'm sorry for any good businesses in the area that this could hurt but I cant afford to take the risk of getting stung.

    New seats....done

Didn't really do anymore tbh. Filed off the edges and tidied her up... Was concerned about weakening the structure but there appears to still be enough strength. Eventually Ill add a nice lid and some rubber edging and if there is any sign of weakness in the seat box I'll add some reinforcement...

    New seats....done

Pretty proud of todays work. Installed new (to me) front seats and thought Id share/show off. Its the most major work I've done so far.. How she started off, normal arse killer seats, albeit in good nick. Removed the battery to avoid cutting or drilling into it. Found a bit of corrosion...

Would there be any reason why..

hmmmmm, I too have this oil in the airbox issue, but thought nothing if it... Is the ring and bore wear an issue on 2.5 n/a engines too? The block is painted red.... If it is, just how much of an issue is it? Repairable/worth repairing? Cheers

    Sankey comms body trailer

Its 12v already. It was stood for approx two years. When I pulled her out yesterday all I had to do was pump the tyres back up to full pressure, one was down to 12 psi the other 18. Brakes work nicely and the hitch moves well. Ill get some pics of under (hadn't thought of that) but from when I...
