i had the same problem on my 90 the spindle inside the turbo was loose sounds like a turbo problem to me good luck

same here in swansea went to stratstone in swansea seen a nice defender 90 on a 58 plate,i was told the value by the sales person took the landy for a test drive very nice went back in to sign and they put the landy up by 1 thousand pound will not use again.

take the engine out the disco and put it in the defender

stick with both going mucca going green laning and something goes wrong no work for a couple of days also think of the fuel you will use.:)
