    Fitting an Engine preheater

It is mains powered and parked close enough to the garage to be plugged in. I fancy making up a hinged water proof door and house the IEC socket where the blank dummy air intake is...

    Fitting an Engine preheater

I've just bought this engine preheater. and the instructions (I've translated from German) suggest these possible installation positions: 1. Integration into the heating circuit: The heater is mounted in the return of the internal radiator (standard assembly) 2. Integration via the...

    Remove canvas hooks

These don't appear to be rivoted as we can't see a head, it's smooth, think it could be spot welded.

    Remove canvas hooks

What's the best way to remove the canvas hooks that are on the side rails. A friend needs to fit lockable tree sliders so the canvas hooks need to be removed first. I don't have any pictures but they seem to have 3 spot welds, do you drill these out?

    Damaged turbo

It has been working but steadily making more noise. Whilst the Turbo is away for repair I have taken the air box apart and cleaned it, renewing jubilee clips as required. I have renewed the air filter to turbo pipe, turbo oil feed pipe, turbo oil return pipe, and oil breather pipe. I have...

Turbo Technics are refurbishing the turbo. I don't think it is part of a Turbo blade, just looks the wrong shape.

    Damaged turbo

So 8 months later and the replacement turbo is also damaged. You'd expect that the garage fitting the replacement would clear out all pipes to ensure the original debris does not damage the new turbo, but obviously not! On further investigation I found this in the pipe from the air filter to...
