whats the mpg like on the 4.4 v8?

faulty starter relay would be my best guess. Something is definitely shorting out somewhere. Maybe time for a diagnostics session?

give/sell me the power box as it wont get you any more money when you sell it. Around £3k>£3.5k i'd say but hard to tell without pics mileage etc

Surely the wiring plugs wouldnt be interchangeable though? I wonder if they output the same values

No my blue one is near to the rear of the injector pump. Couldnt see any others under there. I have a new starter motor and the hot start fix so am hoping it will still start OK when hot. Surely if you have unplugged the ECU coolant sensor, the ECU will always see the engine as cold and you...

hey wammers, are you sure the blue coolant sensor is for the ecu? I have looked under the manifold and the only sensor i can see is the blue one which was unplugged. I have plugged it back in and now have a temp gauge readout on dash :confused: Cant see a second sensor under there. Its a 1997/R...

As per the title. Can someone recommend a mobile diagnostic person/company who could come out and diagnose my fuelling issues? I dont want to have to get the p38 recovered to a specialist as i just don't have the cash :(

Excellent, great news. Hope mine turns out to be a a simple fix. Although think it might be a bit more serious now as i am showing an engine management light and wont start at all now :mad:

im watching this too. This has just happened to me for thr fourth time and it is overfuelling like mad. It wont even start now and the engine management light is on. Im actually sat i the recovery truck typing this :(

typical! Just had the rac out and he doesnt have the 2.5dse listed on his diagnostics. Car wont start at all now. Is it always the case that it wont start with the engine management light on? Im gutted now as i was hoping his diagnostics would tell me what is wrong. Now waiting for a recovery...
