Just an idea as I have not had to try it on mine..... as you have a welder (though an air impact driver would be useful too...) Weld a bridge piece between the 2 nuts, so fixing them together, while it is still hot try undoing the bolts.

My welds were once summed up as "wouldn't hold small coal" this all changed when I went to an auto darkening mask. My welding improved 10 fold. I can now control a full length rod when arcing as I can use my now free hand to steady the rod. I just purchased a cheap mask from ebay, valley...

Oh well back to the drawing board, remarkably the bargain S2 Land rover I won on ebay got totaly wiped out by a load of hay crashing into it between me agreeing arangements with the seller on Saturday and this morning, how unlucky was that! I await it's miraculous appearance on this forum...
