follow rear propshaft forwards till you see a metal drum this is the handbrake drum, the bolt is central at the bottom of the drum tighten it clockwise until satisfied (usually between 3-5 clicks) make sure you dont over tighten tho

on looking for a oil leak that turned out to be the oil cooler union i saw a hole in the side of the engine which appears to have a bung missing?? also would you say the seepage from the head is head gasket related? cheers guys

depends what you want it for? im selling one on ebay at the moment, needs a patch of welding and a valve as tyre goes down after a day or so, £100 takes it away, its a 6x4 and a foot and a half deep, on indespension units

like i said full tank to empty light 530 miles i dont know how to spell it out to make it easier to understand. i have done full service, had a diesel tuner adjust my fuel pump, new injectors, timing spot on. before all this i was lucky to get 400 to a tank

can anyone please explain why and what benafits the 300tdi firing order of 1342 is aposed to the usual 1324

530 to red light on a 115,000ml 300tdi mixed driving

was propshaft coupling causing the vibration and the arb drop link causing the banging

no, that was the first thing i thought. strange its only in reverse and not forwards

had to reverse up a road to let a lorry through earlier and when i reached above 8mph the whole car juddered and shook, it felt like a wheel was loose and flailing about but nothing happens when driving forwards only backwards................ any suggestions :confused:

when i bought my 300tdi it was a right state, dull paintwork, ****ty transfers and never been cleaned in a long time, spent 3 days welding and cleaning, my car went from 400 quid spares repairs to a 1200 quid car easy. not bad return on 3 days work. well done she looks well mate

tis when ya aint got anthing above the top of housing. drill and easy out screw would be needed
