    Is it a mod?

Hi All, I will be buying a defender soon, so looking for potential insurance companies etc. Could anyone be kind enough to suggest if these would be 'modifications' as such, and therefore need to be declared to the insurers? Bulkhead removal bar Mudd rails or the Exmoor equivalent Smaller...

    Heritage Centre Certificate

I had a heritage cert for my MG Midget, that was full of info, infact, the PO had used said details to bring it back to factory spec. £30 is a lot of money for them, but they are nicely presented, and do make a nice to have item!!

My first 90 Photos and Respray ?

Have to second the 2K paint advice, it is bloody nasty stuff, and the equpiment needed to make it safe is super expensive (I have looked at getting a set for a classic MG spray job) I would also do the prepwork then get a pro to paint it - esp if you want better than factory finish - cause you...

    Insurance!

to spray or not to spray??

watch out with blow overs, the paint can come off very easily in sheets! Thats why I had a bare metal respray!! Still, seems like he is doing a comprehensive respray if he is doing inside. If you change the colour do under the bonnet too, looks crao if you dont!!! Bare metal respraying isnt...

to spray or not to spray??

Is that £500 respray including all the prep work? Seems unbelievably cheap, I payed £2500 for a 1st class paint job on an MG Midget, including sand blasting the underside, chemical stripping panels and all other prep. £500 amy be either a VERY quick (read ****e!!) blow over, or might require you...

    sorry...its insurance .....again

Oh, another question BB, was it a new policy or an amendment to another? If it was a new one, chances are they have given you insurance underwritten by Gladiator but supplied by elephant. They said they would be happy to cancel my policy and set a new one up that way. Anyhow, I will give it a go...
