It's m.o.t'd till October mate and I think that is going to be the plan

where the patch was was on a high point on the chassis at the rear so I wasn't keen on filling the chassis with water. so I think the plan is going to be to get it as dry as possible inside in the near future and cut a section out of the chassis in the middle and blast the mud out with the air...

Patched her up tonight and when we cut the f****d section out and had a look down the chassis rails there was a layer on mud about a 5th of the depth of the rail it's self! Someone's had a bit of fun in her haha

I have a couple tins of waxoyl. I take it I should paint it first on the outside then waxoyl, but how should I get the backside of the patch full protected?

After a good pressure wash this morning and a good stab about, the rest of th chassis seems to be in really good nick! Very relieved

It's very clean inside as well and came with loads of spares still in the packaging plus spotlights etc and a very comprehensive service history

Just when I went to collect it mate and further pictures I was sent. It drives spot on. Think the plan is going to be to patch that section and keep her and get a galvanised chassis down the line.

Going to inspect the hole lot further today and also get the cctv on as she was that is what put the fear in to me is that the rust has come from inside out! Just bought it for 7k .... could do with out it needing a chassis haha

Went digging about the defender I just bought more rigorously than I did when purchasing unfortunately and managed to put my thumb through the chassis! What areas should I be checking for more if there is any? Any advice would be great. Cheers in advance.

No it's not ex military just never had one fitted from factory. Just hoping it it is all there as I don't fancy starting from scratch haha I shall have a look tomorrow

i recently bought a defender 90 td5 and there has never been a radio installed. I'm wondering if there will be all the necessary wiring in place from factory to install one or not?
