Ive not had to order anything breakable from paddocks yet. Everything ive had so far has been reasonably packaged.

Our local landrover dealer has maybe 2 defenders. Majority of the new stock they have are FL2s + disco's. Most people ive seen driving new defenders are people that work/live in the city and at weekends put on the full 2011 collection of barbour clothing and take the dogs to the countryside...

Id suggest you try and get a test drive in defender and a landcruiser. They are at completely diferent ends of the 4x4 spectrum. I certainly wouldnt want to doing many motorway miles in a defender but then i wouldnt want to go pay and play in a landcruiser. Horses for courses.

Ive done the front seal once already and will be doing it again next week when the paddocks delivery turns up. My fault for doing it twice, i didnt push the seal down far enough into the diff so it leaks when the props spinning. Its easy enough to do, id try and undo the centre bolt with all 4...

Thats a normal landrover maintenence list isnt it? Ive had my 90 6 weeks. Since then ive had a headlight blow, stripped down and rebuilt the whole front axle, have the steering box seals+drop arm+steering damper to fit and a list the length of my arm to get sorted inc. various oil leaks...

Whats remaining of vehicle to be rebuilt? Chassis, bodypanels, axles, engine?

For what reason would you want to put that engine in the landy? Theoretically with enough money, time, skill, you could fit any engine within reason.

Ive noticed a rise in landy owners waving recently. I wave at defenders/series, disco's if modified or they wave at me first.
