Ah See that's why people rely on info from people who know thief stuff, so a standard ODB cable seems like it's working but doesn't, the right cable should be Here tomorrow so I can diagnose correctly then report back.

Well, i got half way home before it dropped to its knees! You get some funny looks bouncing along don't you :) For reference a standard OBD USB cable allows EAS unlock to read information such as faults, setting and heights but will not allow any of the functionality so i was unable to test...

Will update when i get plugged in, thankfully although its in fault its still at ride height and not speed limited.........at the moment, ive got to get home yet!

Thanks Keith, my old cable was ODB to USB without the serial connector, if i have time i would have bought a cable from you but i need one quickly so have ordered one to arrive tomorrow. Fully tested the EAS yesterday before i bought the car, up, down, up,down drove it to get it to cruising...

Need to know if a standard odb/usb cable which i already have connects with EAS, I have searched but there are that many posts on EAS its a minefield. Also is EAS free suite compatible with Windows 8 ? Thanks in advance and i am expecting a few rants about searching before asking.

Well, its true what many say, once you've owned a P38, you're hooked! Sold the last old girl 2 years ago now, and always look with envy when i've seen a P38 knocking about, anyway for the last month i've been talking myself into buying another one and looking out at the classifieds and auction...

All sorted in 20 minutes, took switch pack apart and took the cover off the switch to expose the white rocker. Flipped the white rocker off and had a good look around underneath. Found the black plastic finger under the rocker had become soft with use and wasn't transferring the pressure from...

Hmmm, i've now been scared off swapping the wires after people say i could blow the bcem. The switches are soldered to the pcb, how did you strip them to clean? I think i may give that a go before cutting wires. Last resort Mr Credit card comes out to play :(

Question. Can you rewire the plug on the window switch pack to fool it into operating different windows? My switch pack works OSF and OSR up and down, great! It only operates NSF up and NSR down, bummer. Can i snip the wires and swap the OSR switch wire for the NSF, so ive got 2 fully...

Thanks Mozz, E-mailed Emmotts the other day and had no reply so guess that's a no? I went to a guy in Bredbury last weekend, next to A2Z skips, he had 7 RR's breaking but all of the NSR rubbers were as bad a mine. I will ring this Bredbury number now, maybe he's a different yard?
