I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

I see, thanks. So recon gearbox, torque converter, oil cooler pipes, LR oil cooler and trans oil. Just out of interest- what do you think mine would be worth with a gearbox error. Good history 95k miles? Basically what i am thinking is should I sell it or repair it.

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

So... have you got a synopsis of what is said there. I am thinking I should be asking for a reconditioned torque converter, new LR oil cooler & LR filter + new oil. Am I right in saying that the gearbox itself is not really the issue here? Your help is much appreciated!

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

Oh, what a surprise- my l322 td6 gearbox has developed an issue just short of 95k miles! Who would have thought it?! Driving home from work today, one mile from home the 'trans failsafe mode' flashes up. Stays in third til I get home, park up, turn engine off, then on, now attempt to select...

    Squeekey belt!

Is there an engine diagram that will tell me this? What is the best way to access the belts, and does anything need taking out to get to them?

PAS belt replacement on a 2.5 na diesel

Got it done today, was pretty easy, took about half an hour. TBH I cannot see where the oil leak is coming from (there are a few!) but it doesn't look like the steering box or PAS are leaking. Thanks for the tips

PAS belt replacement on a 2.5 na diesel

Hi everyone Need to change the PAS belt on my 110 camper tomorrow. Is it a fairly simple job to do? Its a 2.5 diesel na. Got the belt ready, I would have thought it would be fairly easy to get done- weather permitting! Oh, also going to put the 110 in for an MOT next week, does anyone know...

    Biodiesel in my td6

Update...nearly five months into running the l322 on bio, absolutely no problems. Put in £20 worth of diesel with 25 litres of bio each week- runs lovely! So I have been running a RR for £20 a week on fuel!

New shape vogue being revealed !

I think it looks great. Like has been said before, without innovation; we will never improve the way we do things. Plus the fact, its bloody boring being sensible all the time!

    My first RR issue!

    My first RR issue!

popped off again! No matter how tight I make the jubilee clip! does anyone use any specialist suppliers for the l322 that might stock such a part?

    My first RR issue!

Anybody able to help? the elusive c-clip does not seem to be for sale anywhere!

    My first RR issue!

Its bloody well popped off again! Am I missing something here? [/IMG] I know the jubilee clip attaches the rubber pipe to the metal sleeve. How does the metal sleeve attach to the intercooler? there are two holes either side of the metal sleeve, does some sort of c-clip fasten it to the...

    My first RR issue!

Ok, so just got under the car. The intercooler hose has popped off like you all said. When I tried to push the pipe back on and tightened the jubilee club, gave it a rev and it popped off again. Is there some kind of special C clip that holds the pipe on aswell. The pipe has popped off with the...
