What year is your FL? I *think* its only 2001/2002ish onwards that support eobd/obdII unless its something designed specific for the FL which can be expensive.

Is it kicking up an engine warning light or just something that you can only see when you attach the code reader?

Spent near on 5 hours washing and polishing today, went over it with t cut ultimate black using a dual action polisher, then autoglym vinyl and rubber. Looking great on the outside, just need to get the inside done tomorrow now haha.

Bone dry there as well. Touch wood not a sign or smell of diesel. I did replace the crank case breather and turbo vent at the same time but can't see that having any impact?

No, I think its the other way round, but I could be wrong - if the engine won't run, but does when you pull the maf - then its a faulty maf - could be wrong though.

Recharged the AirCon using one of those DIY kits, and hoping to give her a good wash and polish later - and have to say after having put her back together not one sign of a fuel leak! go figure! oh well, Enjoy the sun y'all :)

cool, it was only really when the bolt was out that it was coming out - once the bolt was in there were only the slightest traces coming out - pleased its nothing to worry about.

HI all, while doing the oil change and checking for the fuel leak yesterday I noticed oil coming from somewhere I didnt expect it. I took all the covers off at the top and out of one of the holes where the injector cover goes oil was coming out - not loads, but the odd splash when the engine was...

Well the under tray off, left it running for 15mins and not a trace of fuel dripping! God knows where it was coming from! So old oil drained while the cover was off. Just waiting for my neighbour coming home now so I can borrow a socket to take the oil filter off.

So far I have replaced the crank case breather with the BMW one. The old filter was like a lump of tar! Now need to try and remove the last of the nuts hold the under tray on so I can see if I can track down this fuel leak! Have a feeling it's the HP pump. If so I guess I will be ordering a...

I was going to see if I could track down the fuel leak on my TD4 but have ended up working instead - will see if I can track it down tomorrow instead. Working from home though, so sat in the conservatory with a cup of coffee - could get used to this :)

Just to clarify, you have checked both fuel pumps yeah? can you hear both pumps running? Have you checked the relays and fuses for the pumps?

Have you checked the HP fuel pump though? are there any leaks or anything?
