    P38 Exhaust Recommendations

kooky Know how you feel. Almost now at the point of thinking "What did I do ? Why didn't I just go buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee for another £2k and save the cash on keeping this piece of junk alive ?". Still maybe if I get to drive it for more than 2 days at a time 2 months after buying it I...

    P38 Exhaust Recommendations

Believe it or not this is still dragging on. Now had 2 front cat sets neither of which fit. Returned the KF one and now looking as if I need to get a whole system from a single maker as the components send which are all meant to be compatible as anything but. How difficult can it be to make a...

    Heat Shields P38

Has anybody ever found after-market heat shields ? I tried 3 different after market parts retailers and all said the same thing, genuine part only. Gen part no's are WEB101840 and ESR3666. Believe it or not £70 and £48 a piece  I reckon if somebody took this on and produced decent...

    P38 Exhaust Recommendations

It has Torquemax Cam and Tornado chip fitted. To be honest I really dont care for the "sport" scenario. It is a big old 4 * 4 that I just want to run without scaring the neighbours kids :-)

come to my senses!!! getting rid, yeehah!!

Darksider Good luck to you. It is a lottery with cars, the wife's Porsche engine blew up at 40k costing us a shed load with no help from Porsche. I may be in the same position as you in a year but after 6 weeks of ownership and almost eveything you read about on here being an issue I am...

    P38 Gearchange Stiff

Managed to get microcat working today and the only part listed is the full gear selector with cable. A mere £254 !!! Has anybody on here replaced the cable itself ? I cannot believe you have to replace the full selector just to replace the cable. Even for LR that is crazy.

    fitting my own exhaust

I had one fitted but it is going back. It is fitted with cable ties and rubber rings but I have been told should be tack welded onto specific points on the body. As well as that quality of exhaust is awful. If you are ok to do a bit of a weld then self fitment shouldn't be a big issue as it...

    P38 Gearchange Stiff

Given the state of the selector cable I have been trying to source new but keep coming up with only the full selector kit. Has anybody bought the selector cable itself and if so where from ?

How long before the owners start posting????

I think the wheel on the front driver side costs more than my P38 altogether, even with fixing all the faults :)

    P38 Exhaust Recommendations

All My P38 sounds like a cross between a tractor and a boy racer. I replaced back from the cats with a Kwik Fit piece of scrap that is being returned. Without having to take out a second mortgage does anybody have a recommendation for a good full and / or cats back exhaust they have used ...
