Sorry I am only a Junior member, don't want to upset anyone. I had this with my 300 tdi, fuel filter was the problem, dont mess with the fuel pump until you have replaced this, 1 min job & cheap. Also check the pump. If that no work than tweak the pump may have been meesed with before.

Hi, Used to be involved with the CB thing back in the 80's. Was told a landie would need to be earthed to the chassis to produce an effective ground plane. Chucked my old Mustang cb2000 due to u/s output invested in a new rig/twig and guess what, a swr of 1.1 screwed to Birmabrite on the roof...

Would agree that Puma is untested as stated, my mates is under 12 months old. I only comment based on my experience of the drive. Long term usage can't yet be evaluated. I think the best thing is to drive 'em both...... Then buy a 300tdi. Jerry 110 300 Tdi 152,000 miles daily drive.

Hi mate, I've driven 300, tdi, td5 and puma. To be honest it depends on what you will use it for. Td5 has much less torque than puma so you'll be up and down the box more. The Puma has loads of torque which you really notice in the real world and if you can stretch the cash would be my choice...

No sure about current access but was up there 8 weeks or so ago and from the Church Stretton side access involves up and over a kerb, no probs there, but there is a drain/culvert that used to have an iron grid has disappeared. Still doable just watch wheel position on exit/entry

Done a bit of research on this. If you google the thing as the last person recommended you get bit of a mixed bag. Some for some against. I run a 300 Tdi and on the balance have decided to leave well alone, change the belt well within the recommended interval and keep an eye out for any nasty...

Yep mine gets about 30 mpg cruising between 60 and 70 mph; around town drops only a bit 25-28 dep on me right foot

Driven TD5 and V8, current drive is 110 300Tdi. I think the TD5 is more on road biased engine. Off road and at low revs seems to lack grunt. V8 sounds and drives awsome, if you can afford the fuel or LPG it. I use my 300 Tdi as daily driver just about to clock up 150k, so nicely bedded in...
