had the same problem but in reverse wouldent start, took solonoid out and cleaned it and off she went bit of dirt causing it to stick i think, yours may be sticking in the up position.hope this helps.

what do you lot prefer a manual or a auto gearbox on the lookout for maybe a disco but there seems to be a fair few autos about and iam not sure about having a auto, aways had manuals, seem complicated and expensive if they go wrong, are they as reliable as a manual box thanks
