How do I get my driver door card off? Think the glass has slipped off the runners.

Ok, new air filter fitted - no change. Got an EGR removal kit ready but them bolts where the blank plates will go are looking mighty rusty and like they're gonna be a nightmare to come out without snapping :confused: Any tips on removing them in one solid piece?

300TDI and no not yet, it's on the 'to do immediatly after christmas' list

Got another one..... Has anybody seen the grunt from under my bonnet? :( Haven't had a great deal of time to get out in the disco but have quickly noticed it has no puff on even the slightest hill. It aint the quickest thing and even on a flat smooth road struggles to pull past 3000rpm...

Thought that it was ticking over a bit slow but it looks like it's just right :D

What revs should my disco sit at when idling?

You're a star and I shall have to buy you a pint should I ever meet you. One more question though, can I buy this part and change it by hand on my driveway or do I need specialist tools? Ie. somebody informs me that it will require an Engineer shop to press it on. Is that correct?

Just slightly :pound: This won't be causing any of the above issues as well will it?

Would that be the likely cause for both issues? I kinda guessed the clunk thing would be something along those lines but the buzzy vibrations got me stumped.

Noticed a strong vibration when accelerating in my 300tdi, vibration as in buzzy and rattling the rear view mirror and dash. Sounds almost like a rear tyre is rubbing, but I've looked for signs on the tyres and there ain't none. Also noticed when driving along that if I let off the...

So if I decide to take the gamble and go and buy it, what's a new box going to cost me roughly? And yeah I checked all the usual places for rust and it wasn't really that bad at all.

Hi, I went to view a 97 300TDI manual Disco recently, this is my first step into the land of 4x4's and the like so it's easy to say I'm a N00B. Anyway it didn't look in too bad condition, rust didn't seem to be at a worrying level and it had almost a full service history with many millions...

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone. I'm just about to enter the world of 4X4's in the form of a 'disco' so thought I'd better join upto somewhere helpful to get some tips and advice on buying my first one. :)
