I find that the gears are going in smoother do have to think about it and listen to the engine and yes downshifts are more difficult to match.

I have a 2006 Defender and have been double de clutching of late, only started to see how it was done. I find the changes are better. Are there any disadvantages or issues with continuing?

Looking for a pair of axle stands and have seen 3 tonne Ratchet Axle Stands at Halfords for £30 and at B&Q for £21. Has anyone used such an item not sure if I would feel safe using them rather than a conventional stand with a load pin? Any views welcome, cheers John
