Had my driver side window put through last night and my £60 dash cam & 5 year old sat nav robbed, they will be luck to get £40 for them. Anyone got an idea on cost of window replacement, the glass replacement sites want you to book first and difficult to get comparison prices.

I had a similar problem with a nipple that had sheared off. I used a Philips screwdriver to start removing it then a pair of long nose pliers. It came out really easily and fitted new nipple using a 7mm socket to start it off.

I have a disclock and it fits quite well in behind the chubby box, bought the bag with it doesn't rattle. As has been said most visible and morelikelytouse of the two.

I recently fitted a set of the quick fit steps to my TD5 90. They are very robust when fitted and easy to fit, once I managed to remove the previously fitted and very rusted side step bolts. Look great and I have been off road in them without a problem.

Robbie well I can't get the bolts undone anyway, locked solid, so shocks getting replaced !

Neilly feel free to teach me, thanks for the advice I will look at changing the bushes and check the shocks. If the bush fixes it for the moment I will look into replacing the shocks later as I am off the lakes on Friday no won't have time to make a complete change. Cheers

I have looked up and can now see how to loosen nut whilst holding base of shock with grip. Can I simply replace the bush and retighten or would I need a new shock. Thanks for your advice

I was checking diff oil and greasing UJ's when I had a look at rear shocks. Their is a lot of play at the bottom end on both. Tried to tighten nut but the whole shock just turns ha do I tighten this up and is it possible something has come off the shock making it such a loose fit?

Thanks I will give it a try, was there for nearly 15 minutes this morning. Neighbours in their normal cars found it amusing, go anywhere Defender, well if you can get in it !

2006 TD5 with Central Locking. Had first really cold morning on Merseyside today, tried to open doors with remote. Door would unlock them immediately lock again, tried with key only as well. I had to go round and unfreeze the 3 doors locks before they would stay open. Any hints or tips on...
