    200tdi turbo hoses/pipes

looks like a good solution, and you havent got any overheating probs with the intercooler left out? But I guess I'll have to keep my IC, already adjusted the front radiator panel so..But about the air filter, a k&n style one on top of the snorkel does fine according to you?

    200tdi turbo hoses/pipes

that would require quite some silicon, I thought about doing it the tidy way cuz I found some aluminum welding elbows and these pipes happen to lay around my garage :p

    200tdi turbo hoses/pipes

help turbo experts ;) I put a 200tdi in my series3, but as you all know a series front panel and an intercooler don't really cooperate in terms of space (especially in LHD vehicles, cuz I also had to transplant the disco's powersteering) so problem is, what diameter of piping will I be using...

Do you need free wheeling hubs?

The article only notes friction to be the fuel consuming factor. Friction is indeed of less importance, BUT what about the acceleration of the driveshafts, diff and propshaft! these all have a moment of inertia and have to be accelerated, which requires force. I say, this is the most energy...

    200tdi sump vs propshaft

when I installed my 200tdi I noticed how close the breather pipe on the engine sump was to my front propshaft..any suggestions or similar probs? and what about the huge crankshaft pulley and the front axle? looks like it will be a tight fit too (checking that tomorrow)

    Wheel alignment - positive camber

guys guys...it's normal for a series to have positive camber !! they all have, but you only notice it when the wings are off. Had that question on a Belgian forum too..and the front axle has indeed positive camber. Old cars all have it, so the tyres would follow the road better..they weren't...

    200tdi manifold vs. steering box

somewhere between the lines it says that I should use defender in and exhaust manifolds. that would put the turbo on top and probs solved.

    200tdi manifold vs. steering box

the 200Tdi seems to be the most common engine swap here, but do you also change the gearbox then? no chances of a V8, cuz that would involve a change of fuel (paperwork, again) and since its an 88" the tank would give me a loadbay the size of a mini. I'm already taking apart the disco ;) running...

    200tdi manifold vs. steering box

As my car is LHD, I may run into some trouble putting the 200Tdi in, right? I will also be placing the disco's powersteering. If I use the original manifold which locates the turbo below the engine would that give me troubles. I've also been told that it would be better to place a 300Tdi...

    Is My S3 2.25 Diesel Greedy ?

so that V8 is cheaper to run? thought those were gas guzzlers? LPG would do it, that is sooo cheap. Do they fit properly on an S3 transmission?

    200TDI prices

Could you tell me how much an average 200tdi may cost. I got an offer: 1500euros for 230.000kms (1300GBP, 145.000 mls) I heared that you could get a decent tdi for a couple of 100s euros in England, so maybe they go quite expensive in Belgium. Thx

Converting S3 to 2.5l Td engine & heater advice pls!

I completely removed the heater controls as stock landy's don't give too much heat I might as well be fully opened in the winter (I close it off in the summer with a normal watervalve I put in between)
