    clutch stuck on

when the slave went on mine it was the same as you describe, got it into third and managed to drive it short dist home as it turned over and pulled off! it could just be the cylinder, can you ask him to fill the reservoir and see if it goes down? might show if there is a leak?

Pipe Between master and slave clutch

most motor factor places will do the copper pipe, mine had a range of imperial fittings too when i had to do a series3 brake cylinder. Can't comment on what type of pipe though!

gearbox oil, correct type is ep90 gl4 correct?

    nasty clunkin' sound, diff knackered?

cheers, take it it's a new diff job then? would it be pushing it to drive it about a mile? or could the rear prop be removed and it driven in 4wd slowly? he'll need to get it to a garage cos he bout as mechanical as a slug! :D

    nasty clunkin' sound, diff knackered?

hello all, not been on here for a while - had to get rid of the landy, but... the guy I sold it to has done something to it! there's a nasty clunk/slip from the rear prop shaft area, he thinks after about 9 rotations of the shaft. Am I right in thinking maybe something in the diff has gone? Or...

    white smoke from a 1975 3 series 88

when i had mine it did a bit of this if it stood for a while, i just made sure it had a good run to the mot and was nice and warm as my place tended to do the exhaust test as soon as it arrived so no smoke!:D

    Clutch!?

when you say loose do you mean easy to press or the wibblyt wobbly kind of loose? you could still have air in the system, make sure you have the bleed nipple at the top as you look at the slave cos it will fit either way round and if its at the bottom it makes life difficult getting all the air...

    Clutch!?

i had this with my series 3 when i had it, snif snif, anyway it turned out to be the slave cylinder seals were on the way out, check ontop of the crossmember below the box for any fluid and if any is running down the housing, its dead easy to change the slave if it is that! i did have obvious...

series door pillar bottom support bracket

if the bottoms are just rotted through around the bolt holes like mine were, you may be able to cut off the lower part and weld the new bit onto the metal coming down from the door pillar, saves a lot of faffing with the welds!

newbie hello and a few q`s!

The pulling is probably because one side has a smaller distance between the shoe and drum so it hits first, and as you apply more pressure the other one engages making it even out. You can adjust the distace easy enough. Turn the adjuster till you cant move the wheel by hand (oops, you'd better...
