Saying hi from a new member

welcome aboard. I bought a 2000 DSE in Feb for £4000 with 105k on it, blue with cream, and a FULL wedge of receipts, for replaced EAS etc etc, all it needed was a clean. I recommend taking your time and not rushing. we were looking at dealers with ones twice the price and ended up with a...

I know they ain't quick.. but..

the box was fitted by the last owner, we had a volkswagen van that was chipped before and that was ok but as you mention, i do worry about the pressure it puts on the gearbox, but then i hardly drive it like i stole it, the reason i bought a range again was so i could swan along more instead of...

I know they ain't quick.. but..

mines ok but then its got a box on it. stepping from the sports car i think the main thing was the pedal travel before things kicked in, and someone mentioned here the other day that things dont really get going till 2500rpm in the diesel

    Cruise control....

tried it earlier at 40mph, set turned it on, res did not turn it off so it must just be mine that doesnt listen to me! the rest of it i understood perfectly it was just the turning it off without the use of brakes and the big button.

    Cruise control....

i was thinking that i am definitely moving mine if i ever take the dash off, its ridiculous where it is! i just hate dabbing the brakes as it annoys me so much when people do it for no reason on the motorway, maybe they just all have the same bloody system!!

    Cruise control....

ok, this may seem a picky thread but i have searched before to no avail. My cruise works all fine, its just I am a bit short on understanding LR logic. Am i right in thinking the only way to turn off the cruse while going along is to either press the brake pedal or lean over (im 6'3" and...

2000 range rover 4.6 vouge lpg

leave the thermostat out if you can, rules it out completely, or do the old pop it in boiling water test. sounds peculiar if no water is being lost. check water pump, mine blew my rad last week due to faulty expansion lid but the water pump impellers are a pain in the anus. any contamination in...
