No, it just means they have equal voltage. Some people claim it can damage batteries, I've had absolutely no problems with it. And given that I was recommended to do it by Jim @ Gigglepin (who I think know's what he is talking about when it comes to powering winches!) I don't expect any problems...

For starters, get an air filter! Even if it's just a cone one on the snorkel. Have you driven any other 300TDis to compare it to? It could be a lot of things, when you say the turbo doesn't kick in I wonder if the diaphragm on the fuel injection pump is sticking so that your turbo is fine but...

More than likely it has stripped the threads. You would get an oil leak because the rocker cover isn't secured properly so will leak from gasket. Helicoil repair as you say is the best thing for it if it has ruined the thread, shouldn't be too difficult a job.

Do you mean one of the studs that hold the rocker shaft down has been pulled out of the head?

My turbo is on the way out I think, so looking for a decent replacement with the manifold attached. Closer to Loughborough the better, let me know!

OK. I've bled it and have what feels like a good firm pedal with no air in the system. Didn't get round to adjusting the push rod though. Tried to take out out for a quick spin, and I can't get it in gear. Clearly the clutch is not disengaging. Could the push rod adjustment cause this, and if...
