Battery light stays on when key removed

I had something similar on my 300TDi that was draining the battery when everything was off, as above it turned out to be alternator.

How much for the 2 panels in the rear tub that protect the light electrics?

X-Eng Dual charge, to buy or not to buy?

What do you actually do with the landy? Greenlaning and the odd pay and play where you use the winch? Winch challenges? Overlanding/camping trips where you will have electrics running off it overnight?

X-Eng Dual charge, to buy or not to buy?

    It's a simple relay, costs about £10 off t'internet.

X-Eng Dual charge, to buy or not to buy?

No, it just means they have equal voltage. Some people claim it can damage batteries, I've had absolutely no problems with it. And given that I was recommended to do it by Jim @ Gigglepin (who I think know's what he is talking about when it comes to powering winches!) I don't expect any problems...

X-Eng Dual charge, to buy or not to buy?

Not sure how it is going to change anything unless you've been winching with your engine off? I had one on mine for a month, realised it was a waste of money and just put some 40mm2 cable between the batteries instead of it. Also, and I may be wrong here, but I didn't think that the cable was...

Breather is on the back of the pump, towards the top if I remember. It's a rubber cap with a bit sticking out

    Lacking power

For starters, get an air filter! Even if it's just a cone one on the snorkel. Have you driven any other 300TDis to compare it to? It could be a lot of things, when you say the turbo doesn't kick in I wonder if the diaphragm on the fuel injection pump is sticking so that your turbo is fine but...

Yep, interested. What condition, an how much?

    300TDI S**T itself...

More than likely it has stripped the threads. You would get an oil leak because the rocker cover isn't secured properly so will leak from gasket. Helicoil repair as you say is the best thing for it if it has ruined the thread, shouldn't be too difficult a job.

Do you mean one of the studs that hold the rocker shaft down has been pulled out of the head?

    300TDi Turbo

My turbo is on the way out I think, so looking for a decent replacement with the manifold attached. Closer to Loughborough the better, let me know!

    Clutch Master Cylinder rod adjustment

I'm pretty sure I had the lock nuts as far along the push rod (away from master cylinder) as they would go :(

    Clutch Master Cylinder rod adjustment

OK. I've bled it and have what feels like a good firm pedal with no air in the system. Didn't get round to adjusting the push rod though. Tried to take out out for a quick spin, and I can't get it in gear. Clearly the clutch is not disengaging. Could the push rod adjustment cause this, and if...

M8 x 1.25 thread, 8.8 would be fine. I would say there were about 40mm long?
