i always look for the simpler things 1st i had similar noise but was happening more when the i changed gear late and the car shuddered, turned out to the mounting bracket for the exhaust fwd of the cat, the weld had snapped, simple quick weld, noise gone.:)

hello my experience with fixing these beasts is minimal having just owned one for 7 months:o but my bible (haynes manual) suggests changing both the master and slave cylinder as a unit. may or may not contribute to the problem but interesting info

aye well, didn't have that much history with it when i got it, so not a big surprise.:rolleyes: anyways the clutch master slave cylinder seems a straight forward job so will get that done when the HG's finished.

clutch has slipped to 2nd on my list, now my frickin HG has gone:mad:

not sure entirley on the setup with my landie but my previous car had a similar problem knocking on full steering lock, turned out to be knackered bushes on the front suspension lower arms, i replaced these on both sides at 70 quid a piece. apparently my local garage said slow down at speed...

dug out this thread for advice on a similar problem that i'v got for the 1st time today on my petrol 99 model admittedly the wife is learning to drive in it just now, so probably won't help much:p how much would this cost for to change approx? is it worthwhile changing the entire clutch...

aye had a jolly old time with it. Had the rear trim off and got access to the connectors no probs, was getting quite a high value resistance across the copper connections on the window (Mohms). never had to deal with a shagged de-mister before so wasn't sure what the measurement should be. 12vdc...

hi all looking for a quick answer to this, what is the rear windscreen resitance for the de-mister element? just want confirmation before i change out my screen. assuming it should be near 0 ohms thanks

what symptoms do you get with the faulty potentiometer? a trip to maplins or RS components, normally does the trick unless LR have tarted it up to make it special they're all made in bloody china anyway

i posted a reply in another, thread when my coolant went the HG and pipes were fine, turned out it was the radiator core, not simple to diagnoso visually cos the coolant escapes into a trap. and doesn't spill onto the road, well thats what my mechanic said anyway.:rolleyes:

take it the unit doesn't have an aux in at the rear? the cheaper the transmitter the narrower the band you can work in, go for a good quality one that covers the entire fm range, find a clear spectrum to tune into, wire the power for it into the car, so you don't rely on battery's and you'v...
