What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had a blowout of a water feed pipe to the heater matrix, in the engine bay. Steam and smoke everywhere. Very scary view out the rear view. Two flat bed pick ups and an AA patrol, there's 6 hours I won't get back. Anyhoo, got a new one from The Landrover centre, cut to fit, new clamps, new anti...

    Help in Blackpool?

Hi Trev. I had the rough running not so long ago. Rough idle and slippy gearbox. New MAF sensor sorted it immediately. As you have disconnected the MAF sensor and the rough running didn't change then I'd change for a new one. I paid £26 from the Landrover centre near me in Liverpool. The EAS...

    EAS spurious inputs

Hi Data, do you, by any chance, want the old driver pack to have a crack at repairing it? I don't want anything for it. Just thought I'd ask before binning it. Paul

    EAS spurious inputs

Your historical posts say as much, but a duff driver pack is throwing up the spurious faults and putting the car into wading mode. Anyhoo, its good at the mo and one of the cheapest fixes to date. Thanks again Tony, much appreciated.

    EAS spurious inputs

My apologies, yes the driver pack. Came with a pressure switch, so I don't really know if the driver pack was at fault or the pressure switch. Going off information acquired on here I'm betting on the driver pack as my compressor ran as normal.

    EAS spurious inputs

Right then, after re-setting the eas for a third time in two days I have ordered a second hand unit off e-bay, from one of the breakers. Only £19.99 plus postage. Very reasonable. Managed to fit it today between rain showers and was a doddle. Took a while to re-pressurize but went up a treat and...

SRS problem after swapping out blend motors

I'm in Liverpool if you fancy the trip. I've took delivery of a nanocom evolution just before christmas. Paul

    EAS spurious inputs

The new plugs haven't sorted the problem. The eas still faults and puts the car into wading height. After lots more searching I have come to realise the driver pack seems to be the problem. My fault of 'pressure constantly high' is a generic fault the unit flashes. Apparently if the two...

    EAS spurious inputs

Yeah, if I was any good at soldering I'd have gone down that route. The plug was right up my alley. Also if the need arises I can pop the plug apart again.

    EAS spurious inputs

I've had a problem for a while now where the EAS tries to raise to wading height on its own. It puts the EAS into soft fault. It clears with the lead and pc and is few and far between. Using some good info from Wammers I checked the white plugs, behind the trim panel in the passenger footwell...

    Washer Pumps

The motors all appear the same size but the spigots are different sizes, where the rubber tubing connects. I frigged mine to fit and does the job nicely. I had some tubing left from repairing my cruise control vacuum, which fitted over the original tubing. Be careful removing the old tubing as...

EAS - Last chance before breaking

Just received this item off ebay today. Came with all instructions and was a doddle to set up. It connected straight away and comms was instant. It reset my EAS faults instantly. I'm using a Dell Inspiron, I'm in Liverpool if that's any good. Range Rover P38 EAS USB Suspension Diagnostic Cable...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Replaced my MAF sensor. Only £26 from the landrover centre in Speke. Quite pleased with myself as the chap who diagnosed the MAF sensor faulty wanted £119 + vat and half an hours labour which would've been about £170 all in. Nice. Instant fix. Engine was running real lumpy and poor acceleration...

    Grill painting

Ok then. Did the headlight trim panels today. Bought a pack of craft brushes for the job. price was a bit stiff......£1.49 from B&M, for 10 different brushes. The finish is miles better. gonner coat the grill one more time. All in all, Forever black and the right brush gives a great finish.

    Sat nav not working.

Bought myself a BMW unit off e-bay. Its not compatible really, however it did work and showed a map. The interface is really out dated which made me decide not to bother replacing it. I have a free map app on my phone, which works well. BMW unit back on e-bay. Tom-Tom and Garmin do a much better...

    p38 cruise control

Fixed my cruise control today. Did some rummaging on here which pointed me to the vacuum tubing under the bonnet and, lo, the tubing was all split at the t piece. Cost me 9 quid for new tubing and all is good. Worth a look on yours before you change any electricals.
