Thanks for your input Sean! I want to go wider. I can therefore put wider tyres on which must improve grip on and off road. Looks are a bonus as i think the landy looks abit odd with the wheels tucked into the arches.

Spyderman, Yeh they're spot on. What size are they? I notice Paddocks do 30mm spacers too. Any experience of these?

My 2.25 petrol will do 65-70 downhill screaming, but i hardly ever go above 45. In fact mainly it sits anywhere up to 40mph which is comfortable! A massive difference to my car which, lets say, is at completely the other end of the spectrum!

Normally if the Red ignition light is on with engine running it means the battery isn't charging. If its OFF then thats good! Same goes for the other 'warning' lights!

Problem solved. I replaced the fuel lines with some nice new stuff, replaced the fuel pump (again) added a new in-line filter and all is well Basically its got a complete new fuel system except the carb which is still the weber and seems setup fine Happy chappy again as the weather's...

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but i just remembered another possible cause! Your alternator belt is too loose! Try it, i seem to remember that also being a problem with mine! Should b able to twist it half a turn and thats all

Its an option. But extra work. I'd originally considered just having the 2nd battery completely seperate for spot lights and utility light only, then just mains charging it when required!!

Have you tried charging the old battery over night from the mains and then checked to see if its holding its charge and what the voltage is with engine running. As said above. An alternator will not charge a dead battery I had this same problem! In the end, after replacing both alternator and...

P.S. Changed the fuel tank aswell but didn't have enough fuel to drive it anywhere!! Old one was abit rusty in the bottom but not as bad as i thought it would be. I was supprised at how low the fuel pick up sits in the tank. Nearly touching the bottom! I'm also missing the gauze!
