Ok, so it looks like ive found a nice 75k mile 3.9 disco with a sweet engine. Question is, for you guys who have possibly had both, whats got the most grunt, a carbed 3.9 or a standard efi? Im not bothered about economy, just want the sweetest version I can get with what I've got!;)

Cheers fellas, all sounds fairly straight then. My old lass has got very tired now, supping fuel like no tomorrow due to being toed constantly to get anything out of it. At present its struggling to hit 60 and wont go over 70 at all to give you a clue how low compression is! My thinking was...

In short, my 3.5 V8 station wagon is tired. So, whats the ins and outs of putting say a 3.9 (possibly disco) into it? Had a browse around and cant seem to find anything in much detail on this but appologies if its been covered before I'm after hard basics really, like is it MAJOR hassle...

Cheers bud, Ive figured out where the main leads go(onto the MAF plug) but there's a spare plug with two wires on it, green and red. Cant figure where that goes?

I have been given a Synergy pd box and was told it would fit my td5. Just wondering if anyone else has this on theirs, and if you can tell me where it plugs in? Unfortunately, they guy who gave me it has lost the instructions and the website doesnt seem much help! Cheers in advance, Pete.

Nice one, if they aint much better, thats sorted the slotted! As for getting right ones, is there a difference when it comes to 2002 motors? I know many parts for td5 overlap but never knew there'd be much difference in brakes.

Mainly because it tows around 80% of its life?:confused: What other options are there for upgrading the brakes?

Im currently looking into fitting drilled and grooved discs all round on my 2002 110. Issue Ive got is finding the correct ones, I see some suppliers have different ones listed, especially for the rears. So, can anyone tell me if there's a change over or something, even if anyone has...

Buy the one for the derv, cut your silencer and rear fitting off, cut the same off the new one and weld together the front of yours and rear of the new one. Why do you want to do this, it maybe toooooo noisey?
