Yes its most likely first service. That grey film is most likely clutch material. Very common wear

Interestingly soon as took the pan off. The magnet started releasing a grey material. Definitely no pieces. Obviously possible wear... however it looked more like a liquid then metal

Yes possible. Its done 108000 so not surprising

Possible deterioration of the oil

Changed my gearbox fluid today and filter. Oil was dreadful. No pieces, no debris. However the magnet was filled with snot. No mental. Any ideas ??
