from what i can remember the swivels did'nt have any play in them when we put the axles on. so i will drain it and replace the seal next weekend and see what i get then. would have looked at it this weekend but was putting my gearbox back in after the rebuild.

am after abit of advice i checked my hubs for oil last weekend and they looked abit low. so i topped them up to the right level although my n/s hub looked as tho it had one shot grease in instead of oil. but since topping them up my n/s hub is leaking oil quite badly from the reat around them...

ah could'nt tell that from the piccys good work all the same could always build some sort of storage rack with drawers from top to bottom for your tools and such like behind the seats bud.

fitted the gearbox back on my 90 and also fitted a cb ariel on my mates disco. just gotta wire in the cb for him tomorrow.

start to worry if there's oil coming out of there other than that as said leave open unless wading

yes mate a completely destroyed lay shaft bearing, well i suppose you could say lay shaft race as there was'nt any signs of many bearings inside it apparently. but my mate has gonna completely re-build it and also fitting new clutch release bearing and clutch fork so price all in £170

no oil on my floor lol dumped it on your drive lol drained the rest out and the gears in it look good so who cares about abit of oil on the floor.

right before anyone says it i forgot to take piccys although it did'nt show any signs of failing at all on the outside but did sound abit dodgy :( once the box was off and the transfer box had a slight rumble to it. so i have taken the gearbox over to a mate cause stripping boxes ain't my sort...

drained my gearbox and transfer box oils as my gearbox decided to throw a fit and chew something inside up so needs to come out. just a pain as all seemed good when it when in when i put the 90 together :mad2::mad::mad2:

unsure on the amount you need but the price seems about right mate

i would'nt say that you def need a new battery or alt but it can't hurt to upgrade those if you see fit bud. but most upgrade the battery and alt to aid with starting the vehicle on cold mornings and to help run extra accesories. just make sure you keep the engine running whilst using the winch...

imo yes it is as important to do the rear pipe as well as the front cause due to the lift your pipes are extra strain and could fail causing you to have no brakes, so i personally would even go to the extreme of cutting the bracket off thats holding the pipe and making a new one to replace it...

i don't fully understand the question in regards to upgrading but in my opinion you will need :- winch bumper, winch (which will come with all relevant wiring) you may need more more electrical wiring depending on what length the winch comes with, also i would suggest you install a cut off...
