I would clean the red plug area with some solvent if nowt else The harness was replaced when? Could be residual in the remaining eng harness working it's way out or was a cheapo inj harness fitted, I've seen some poor aftermarket ones not last long

Buy a good civvy spec even if paintwork tired, splash of NATO green and if it's the looks u cud add some bits from the jumbles

Cos I fitted a Tdci bulkhead I gained the 10as alarm module and central locking stuff so there was a pink wire to connect to the one for the td5 speedo led Just wired it up and yep it works

2.2 and 2.4 Tdci uses the same bottle and they do it on loads especially if worked or heavy towing. I see loads everyday so I'm not bullsh1ting Most need a very minor top up I reckon ul find a new cap does it soon after but it seems to vary per vehicle

You're fobs are picked up by a transceiver coil around the barrel Does the problem fob have a good battery ie does the alarm led flash fast etc to warn of low fob battery?

Seen as each landys build tolerance is different I can't be certain it would solve it but I've fitted em on two vehicles and they were perfect I'll be replacing my Tdci ones with this revised type eventually, I'm impressed with em so far

Worth checking discs with a dti gauge in situ Worth a look at caliper pistons too, you've compressed em back when fitting pads, were they stubborn to move at all? They could be sticking

Just to be sure double check all them ujs try lifting the prop at each end by hand and twist look closely for any play Look for play/lift at transfer box output flanges
