Life with my Landy (Platty's Project Thread)

Ronbox materialised today, so without a second to lose, I got about fitting it. I went for the Ronbox 2a with a new Pierberg MAF and 3 position dash switch. A quick flick through the instructions and off I went with ratchet in hand. I took off the airfilter housing to expose the Bosch...

Fitting front seats in the rear.

Probably a mod, but don't let that put you off. My MINI has some mods on it, custom split rims, racing suspension, custom respray, custom interior, titanium alloy exhaust, the list goes on. I'm insured with Greenlight, all mods declared all inclusive at 35 with 7yrs NCD for less than £400...

ideas ? struggling to get over 70mph

Check for any splits in your turbo hoses, also check the secureness of the jubilee clips. Have you cleaned your inlet manifold out (blanked the egr)? What sort of MPG do you normally get? Finally, have you checked your tyre pressures?

New hippo teething issues - clutch & brakes

I have a low biting point too. Lift the clutch pedal a gnats pube off the carpet and you have motion.

    glad I kept both

I have a Mini as a standby, but she rarely ventures out of the garage. Should the Landy fail and it be raining, I'll steal my girlfriends Polo and, with out remorse, send her to work on the bus!

Life with my Landy (Platty's Project Thread)

Thanks. Small update. I'm now onto my 2nd tank of diesel with Diesel Rhino added (double dose in this tank). She's feeling very smooth going up through the gears. I don't think I've left it long enough between removing the EGR/cleaning the inlet manifold out and trying this Diesel additive...

    so, the garage has said

Just doing the front? Fag packet maths: £50 for a caliper, £40 for discs, £20 for pads, £10 for fluid. 2hrs labour (wouldn't take me much more than an hour sat on my bum on the driveway). If you'r confident enough to have a go yourself, even buying a pressure bleeder and copper grease...

I've fitted the Gates 89 degree stat. The gauge now sits bang in the middle. I show before and after pictures of where the gauge sits in my project thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/life-my-landy-plattys-project-thread-246636-3.html
