good to know . i have three engines that need at least rings and bearings but one is 10p and the others are 15p so i could just order the same rings for all

ok that makes sense ..but are the 10p rings interchangeable with the 15p and the other way around ??

Hi all does anyone know who sells piston rings for the TD5 . i can get pistions with rings but i dont need pistions and they are expensive . its for a 15P35394A defender engine . any info would be great

Which would you buy and why. i bought the hawkeye, it was the best deal and could do what i needed done How good are they compared to main dealer set up.i dont know Or do you still end up going to main dealer when the going gets tough.never been to the dealer and dont intend to Would one tell...

why did it blow the headgasket before ?did you replace the thermostat ? if the problem wasnt found when the headgasket was fixed then you still have a problem

i know you dont want britpart but i have used these and they work well but the ride is a bit stiff on the bumps DC5000 Britpart Super Gaz Front Shock Absorber

are you sure the caravan wheels arent sticking (bad bearings )

i had a similar problem it turned out to be a injector sticking and sending air into the fuel system

the pastic curved bit goes here and you should put it back to stop the water

the MAF is between the air filter box and the intake hose to the turbo .the MAP is on the intake manifold (top middle held by two bolts). both could be cleaned with brake cleaner or similar and see if it makes a diffrence

get the codes read , check MAF and MAP sensors . and try disconecting the temp sensor and see if its any better

add the MAF sensor, brake pads ,thermostat, propshaft u joints, fan belt, filters (air fuel oil) if its on air bags then two of them , injector seals and copper washers, if its an automatic then a filter kit , if maual then clutch cylinder repair kits , turbo boost soleinoid and intercooler...

(A) you could use Hawkeye or Nanocom .i have a hawkeye and it worked well to sort the same problem
